Welcome to the World of Ethindriil

The official website of me, Jonathan Pasquariello, author of “The Ethindriil Chronicles”. A constantly growing and expanding world, thriving with epic adventure and heroic characters. Come along and join in as I explore this newly evolving world. Thank you for taking the time to visit the site, and I hope you enjoy what you find!

Somewhere around 15 years ago, I got the itch to start creating a string of stories that revolved around a singular, fantastic world, or universe, if you may. (Because there will definitely be some planet hoping, ripping of reality fissures, heavenly realm exploration, time bending, and extraterrestrial contact goodness happening throughout my many story ideas, and revelations yet to come.)

The first installment of this idea comes in the form of Fate of an Empire; book one of the Talurian Empire Trilogy. This story launches my readers into the events of a warring civilization that has no idea of the dark future that lies at their feet. The writing style falls under the genre of grimdark or epic fantasy, involving all sides of the struggle, many overlapping and co-mingling story lines, characters that will rise and fall over generations, and anchors throughout the plot that will shape the history of the planet.

“There I stood, freshly molded, new to the world, even if the world was but seconds old. Ink and parchment in my hand. Knowledge in the fiber of my being. I was created for this. I was the first of my kind, but there were also the others.

There. The beginning. The catalyst. The Twelve emerged from their birthing, standing tall against the pillars of light, carving Ethindriil into shape. Steam swirling away from their naked flesh. They were perfect—unscathed, yet to be soiled by His new world, in which they were cursed to command. Some good and some evil, for He knew the world required balance.”

The Historian, Volume I, Journal I, Pg.1 (Year 1)

“Man is young. They barely understand how to survive among the harshness of this world. The Twelve do not interfere—much. They play the role of Gods. They laugh at the peoples’ cries, and ignore their pleas for help. The Wild One has her moments of fun and slaughters the weak like wheat to the harvester’s scythe. The Kind One and the Thinker try to temper the mischief of their brothers and sisters, but so much power grows boring over time.

The Youngest stays to himself, molding pets and toys for his amusement. The Dark One, in turn, destroys his brother’s creations with delight. The Head watches all of them, deciding which direction he will go, which path he will dedicate, which role he will play in their family. He sneers in contempt and disgust over both the good and the evil, for he sees through both.”

The Historian, Volume XIII, Journal XVIII, Pg.79 (Year 782)

“I will usher in a new era. I will once again bring forth the power of the Ancients, The Twelve born from Ethindriil.
Are you with me, or against me? You must decide, for there will be nothing left in between.”
